Getting ready for summer!

In the summer, I work with K-3 students in the summer camp program at the daycare.  While they aren’t quite done with school yet, we’ve started our first summer project.  I like to do what I’ve heard called “craftivities”.  A craft/art project, but with reading/writing.  I thought this project was super cute, and allowed the kiddos to think about what the summer might hold for them (swimming is pretty important when you’re 8 or so!) as well as to be creative with the ice cream and work on some fine motor skills!  It’s a win-win!   I found this on TpT as well (One Step Closer Teaching).

The ice cream looks delicious!
